Women's Advocacy Assistant
This internship provides an excellent opportunity to get hands on experience with a dynamic non-profit working with the Arab immigrant community. We seek individuals interested in women’s rights and empowering Arab women in particular. The assistant will be working with our advocacy instructor to provide support for the Union of Arab Women. This volunteer opportunities may include tasks such as preparing for presentations and involvement in planning events and meetings for the Union of Arab Women and AWAL.
The ideal candidate will be able to compassionately and efficiently handle tasks while strengthening and supporting the community. Fluent English and Arabic is preferred for this position, and a strong desire to empower and support the Arab-American community is required.
The women’s advocacy assistant is expected to commit to be available from 10 am - 3 pm at least 3 days and 12 hours a week.
